![]() Truly, every time I see a southpaw watch my mind breaks a li. The outer dial is lighter in color where it displays the 12-hour clock, while the center is darker displaying a 24-hour clock. Just read an article on this watch: Nodus Sector Deep. Available in three colorway dials, each one is multihued adding dimension and appeal. Great thing about some microbrands is that you really do get a great watch for the price. The Nodus Sector Field watch has one of the most modern designs to it. The DEEP has jumped to my favorite Nodus diver, if not my ideal microbrand diver. I also threw in a side by side to an explorer (39mm, 214270) because that's what I had when I got the sector pilot delivered. Turning the bezel feels good, it's friction fit, and it's not too tight or loose, I do like that it's bi-directional. ![]() ![]() But the overall execution is very different: it’s modern, almost playful, and decidedly sporty. The bold black outline of the hands and indices match the black bezel. Generally speaking, the Sector is loosely inspired by sector-dialed watches, hence the name. I like the little accents, like the lumed logo at 12 o'clock in the chapter ring. I think it's well designed and really like the applied indices with lume in it. I wanted a screw down crown, enough water resistance, good readability and some lume, and something that didn't break the bank. I was looking around at some date/day watches that had the date/days stacked along the 12 or 6 o'clock and didn't take to the hamilton khaki kings and similar field watches, but I also wanted it to more readable than the jazzmaster date/day. Beautiful watch with modest size of 38mm balanced with longish 47mm lug to lug. My two main watches don't have dates, and sometimes I miss having it, especially on work days. Letting go of a good condition Nodus Sector Pilot on Stainless Steel bezel. So I just received this watch yesterday, the Nodus Sector Pilot Flyer with a copper dial and DLC bezel (that means it's not painted black and shouldn't chip easily). ![]()
